Mr. Keith Allen Nixon was born on September 8, 1976, in Thomasville, GA to Patricia Nixon and the late Charles Jackson, Sr. Growing up he enjoyed spending time with his siblings and cousins and brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.
Keith accepted Christ at an early age at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Ochlocknee, GA. Later in life, he joined Mt. Nebo Baptist Church and Life Center in Atlanta, GA where he was an active member of the choir.
Education was very important to Keith. He believed that knowledge was the most powerful tool that one could possess and he made sure that he never stopped learning. Often, he would joke about being a “professional student” due to the fact that he was always learning something new. He went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Point University in 2005, and his Master’s degree from Clark Atlanta University in 2017.
Because of his passion for helping others and his caring compassionate nature, pursuing a career as a Social Worker came natural for Keith. He was always ready and willing to help anyone in any way that he could. During his tenure as a Social Worker, Keith touched and impacted the lives of colleagues, students, and parents.
He was an active member of the Dublin-Laurens (GA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He was initiated into the bond in Fall 2018. His brotherhood was very important to him and he never missed an opportunity to share how much it meant to him with others.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Sammie Lee Nixon, Sr. and Josephine S. Kimmons-Nixon; father, Charles Jackson Sr.; brother, Charles Jackson, Jr; and uncles, Samuel, Wayne, and Jackie Nixon.
He leaves to cherish his memories, three sons, Raheem, Jasiah, and Nasir; mother Patricia Nixon (Larry); twin brother, Kevin Nixon; three sisters, Cicily Jackson-Miles (Tramaine), Felicia Nixon, and Octavia Nixon; nephews, Keydarius Walden, Ke’Untae Nixon, Kaden Jackson, and Kalyl Jackson; nieces, Kambranise Jackson, Rhodneycia Lamons, Ariana Warren, Rhodnique Lamons, Ayanna Span, Ny’Kendria Nixon, Jayla Davis, Leila Turner, and Kyler Jackson; uncles Roddy Nixon, Sr. (Lorene), Wade Nixon, Sr. (Evelyn), Curtis Nixon, Sr. (Lesia), Donny Nixon, Sr., and James Jackson; best friends, Melinda Hester, Esther Miranda, Torry Hull, Willis Patterson, and Stephen Cheeks; as well as a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, family members, and friends that adored him.
