Mr. Albert B. Donaldson

 Mr. Albert B. Donaldson departed this life on March 21, 2023 in Ocala, Florida. Albert affectionately known as “A.B.” was born on March 29, 1932 in Cotton, Georgia to the late John Donaldson and Lee Ann Brown. He is preceded in death by his siblings: sisters,  Alberta Bell, Minnie C. Moore, Rosa Mae Walden, Bernice Donaldson, Angeline Brown, Leola McCraw, Daisy Bell Thomas, Paulina Donaldson, Geraldine Donaldson; brothers, Benny Donaldson and Jimmy Donaldson.

A.B. was raised in Meigs, Georgia, where he received his early education at Lincoln Brown School. He retired from the lumber industry as an over the road truck driver and machine operator for 42 years.

After his retirement, A.B. relocated to Ocala, FL in May of 2013. In Ocala, he resided with his daughter and caregiver, Sandra. He attended 8th St. Church of God, where he surrendered his life to the Lord under Bishop Isaiah Johnson.

A.B. leaves behind to cherish his loving children: Sandra Carter McKenzie (Kelsey) Ocala, FL; Vanessa Carter (Walter) Meigs, GA; Gregory Carter (Stephanie) Meigs, GA; Elizabeth Hudson Jones (Corey) Augusta, GA; and stepchildren Charles and Eleise Carter Meigs, GA. To continue his legacy, he leaves behind 8 grandchildren: Lawarren Carter, Sederick Walker, Janessa McKenzie, Ambernique Lee, Emma Carter, Tashonia Grant, Porshea Jones, Corey Jones, Jr. and 16 great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his lifetime friends Magnus Nixon and John Reese, and a host of family and friends.
