Mother Lillie Mae Brown

February 15, 1922 ~ June 28, 2023 (age 101) 101 Years Old

Obituary

Mother Lillie Mae Brown was 101 Years, 4 Months and 13 Days on this earth. She was born to the late Ned Edwards and Mamie Reynolds. She was the elder of four children. Preceding her in death, Essie Mae Davis, Elnora Thomas and George Hadley.

Mother Brown married William B. Brown on July 3, 1943 and remained married for 59 years, until his death in  June of 2002. Their union produced seven children. There are two daughters remaining, Lovetta Reverend and Mary Johnson. Lovetta Reverend resides in San Diego, California, and Mary Johnson resides in Thomasville, Georgia. Preceded her in death is Rosetta Greene, William Brown Jr., and Albert Brown. Also, she had one miscarriage a son and one still born daughter.

Mother Brown accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Mt., Zion primitive Baptist church and a member of the Motherboard. She was a soldier for Christ and lived that path.

She worked multiple jobs in her lifetime; all with excellence. Sunnyland Packing Company, Holiday Inn, babysitting, and field-hand. She earned the respect of all her supervisors. Her husband referred to her as a "Working Machine". She believed as in scripture "Honor your father and mother and your days will be long on this Earth." Her passion was keeping busy with exercise.

She leaves behind her daughters, Lovetta Reverend And Mary Johnson; son-in-law, Robert Green; sister-in-law, Rose Hadley; grand children, Kevin (Tranessa) Dawson, Dewayne (Vanessa) Dawson, Phelesha Davis, Cedric (Shaquita) Brown, Eddie Newsome, Stephanie Newsome, Kimberly Brown, Ran Sheppard, Albert Brown, Jr., Tammy Greene, Marquise Brown and Katrina Graham; special thanks to her great grandchild and great great grandchild, Aleesha Jones and Ava Jones and a host of other great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
