Obituary

Lillie Mae Smith was born October 11, 1931 in Pavo, Georgia to the late Clarence and Cornelia Durham.

She attended high school in Quitman Georgia in the Brooks County School system. She was a home maker until she departed this life. She departed this life on March 2, 2023 at Archbold Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Preceding her in death, her husband, Joseph Smith; daughter, Debbie Smith Lurry; son, Charles Smith; father, Clarence Durham; mother, Cornelia Durham; brothers, Hezekiah Williams, Wilson Jack Corker; sisters: Annie Lee Moore, Mae Bell Williams, Willie Mae Sanders and Charlotte Williams and daughter in law, Emma Smith.

She leaves to mourn in her passing, five generations, sister, Lorene Spenser, sons; Larry Smith of Quitman, GA, Chester (Shalonda), Jimmy Smith Thomasville, GA, Travis Smith of Unadilla, GA., daughters; Gwendolyn (Walter) Thomas, Thomasville, GA, and Joanne (Freddie, Jr.) Samuel of Warner Robins, GA. She has fifteen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.
