KATRINA L. FRAZIER, daughter of Fred and Shelean Frazier, was born June 10, 1980 in Camilla, Georgia.
At an early age, she confessed Christ and joined the Pleasant View Baptist Church. She later joined the Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church. As a devoted church member, she was loyal, faithful, and respected by many. Katrina, affectionately known as Trina, attended Mitchell-Baker High School, and graduated with the class of 1998. She was very high spirited, and her big energy and laughter was a constant presence. After graduation, Katrina attended Troy University and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. She later attended Albany State University and graduated with her Masters in Psychology. Katrina worked at many correctional facilities before she transitioned into education as a school counselor. At the time of her death, she was employed with the Sumter County School System.
Katrina departed this life on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia surrounded by her loving family. She was a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding Katrina in death were her maternal grandparents, Colonel J. and Leola Thomas, and her paternal grandparents, Douglas and Lula Mae Frazier.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Jawan Jackson and Jamari Jackson of Camilla, Georgia; one grandson, Nolan Jackson of Albany, Georgia; an expected granddaughter; her parents, Fred and Shelean Frazier of Camilla, Georgia; one devoted sister, Temeike Frazier of Camilla, Georgia; one loving brother, Fred Frazier (Sharkara) of Cairo, Georgia. She also leaves a nephew, three nieces, and bonus children, Joshua Moore, Jamia Mobley, and Kentavious Broadway and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
