Pastor Bessie Lee Clark was born on August 29, 1953, to the late George McCoy, Sr. and Catherine McCoy in Thomas Co. Georgia. She graduated from Central High in 1971. She worked many jobs, but she retired from Sunnyland. After she left there, she always wanted her own store. So, her and her husband opened T & B quick stop for 10 years.
Her Church Life: Pastor Bessie gave her life to Jesus at a young age. She was a member at Saint Paul Primitive Baptist Church for more than 40 plus years. She was the choir director of Saint Paul Primitive Baptist Church Choir #3 for 25 years. She also was an usher. Once God called her to preach, she left St. Paul Baptist Church and started Open Arms Outreach Ministries #6 for 11 years until she passed away.
Her Family: Pastor Bessie is survived by her loving husband, Terry Clark; three daughters, LaQuan Howard-Bryant (James), Tyangela Jones-Hightower (Demetrius) both of Thomasville, GA and Chenika Jones Tampa, FL; two sons, George Wyche (Precious) of Thomasville, GA and Linnies Jones of Columbus, GA; bonus daughters, Terri Parshish, Veronica Proctor, Jewell Jones, Tasha Jones, Laznada Jones, Shamika Toles, Jaliyha Thompson, Alisha Smith; bonus sons, Terrick Clark, Josha Graham, Ronald Jones; three sisters, Willie Mae Graham, Lillie Mae Tillman both of Thomasville, GA, Ethel Lundy (Bernard) of Stone Mountain, GA; three brothers, Ronald McCoy (Annie Ruth), William McCoy, Eddie Mccoy all of Thomasville, GA; sixteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other love ones.
She was a pillar in the community especially in the Villa North. She was grandmother to almost all the kids there. She will truly be missed by us all.
