Avon James Kimmons was born on October 13, 1949, to the late Minnie Lee Kimmons and the late Otis J. Hill, Sr. in Ochlocknee, GA. On September 27, 2023, he completed his earthly journey.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Marie Walker Kimmons of Atlanta, GA, daughter, Eugenal Roan of Miami, FL; son, Russell Moore of Atlanta, GA; mother figure, Ms. Delphia Hill of Ochlocknee, GA; brothers, Swanson (Patricia) Kimmons, Guedel (Vetrice) Kimmons, James B. Hill, all of Thomasville, GA, Earnest Hill, California, Otis Hill, New York, Bernard Hill, Tallahassee, FL., Leonard Hill, Atlanta, GA., Jesse Hill, Ohio, sisters, Mona Walden, Jessie (Larry) Coleman, Geneen (Micheal) Miller, Debra Nixon, all of Ochlocknee, GA, Mynul (Freddrick) Brown of Camilla, GA, Betty (Donald) Shaw, Olivia (Harry) Pittman, Delores Hill Ware all of Ochlocknee, GA; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Also, special friends, Larry Spicer, Alphonzo Roberts, and Janet Jackson.  

He was preceded in death by brother, Fabious T. Kimmons and grandson, Talvin Johnson.
