Willip was joined in Holy Matrimony to Eleanor Charlotte Miller Smith on January 13, 1975. They celebrated 48 years of marriage.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Eleanor Charlotte Smith; five children, Ronald Presha, Precious (Lyndon) Jackson, Tyvenia Smith, Willard (Sheniqua) Smith, Jr., Alexis (Jennifer) Smith; mother, Mary Dean Diggs; sisters, Daisy Ivory, Josephine Moore, Claretha (Leroy) Ross, Ona (Joe) Hunter, Sarah Davis; brothers, Joseph Smith, Bobby Smith; bothers in law, Authur (Minnie) Miler, James (Jackie) King and host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Smith, brothers, Levi "Matt" Smith, Robert "Bo" Smith and sister, Eula "Rabbit" Wilson.
