Willie Milton, Jr., entered this life on October 5, 1950, in Birmingham, Alabama. He was the first-born child of the late Willie "Bill" Milton and Alene Germany. Willie lived with his family in Birmingham, until moving to Detroit in his early teens, with other family members.
After some time in Detroit, Willie joined his mother and siblings in Los Angeles, California, where he attended school and graduated in 1968. Willie would then meet the late Mable Fedrick Milton, and by 1981 the pair would move to Atlanta, Georgia, where they would marry and expand their family.
After many years in Atlanta, Willie and Mable moved to Thomasville, Georgia, where they together raised their family. In Thomasville, Willie worked as a foreman at Metcalfe Lumber Co. until the time of his retirement. Over the years in Thomasville, Wille was affectionally known as "Homie, Whiskey, and Mullet, Shelley, and Lena's Dad," among other endearing names. Certainly, to all who became acquainted with him, Willie was not one soon forgotten.
Willie successfully battled two bouts of cancer, before God received Willie into his loving arms on Thursday, November 19, 2020.
Willie leaves to cherish his memory his sons, William Milton of
Augusta and Charles Stebbins of Houston, TX; daughters, Shelley Milton of Warner Robins, Alena Milton of Valdosta, and Jaimaine Rouse of Stockbridge; granddaughters, Kamryn and Karsyn Milton of Augusta, Aleyah Farley of Valdosta, Addilynn Miller of Dudley,
Shunteisha Jones of Atlanta, and Angelica Stebbins of Houston, TX, Elaine Rouse of Stockbridge, GA; grandsons, Jalen and Marchall Rouse of Stockbridge and CJ Stebbins of Houston, TX; his mother, siblings,
nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and treasured friends. Willie will be greatly missed.
