Ms. Vanisa Jeanean Brown was born on March 15, 1965 in Thomasville, Georgia to the late Mary Eva Brown and Thomas Stringer.
She was a graduating member of Thomasville High School class of 1984. She attended Fort Valley State University, where she was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness. She went on to receive a Master's Degree in Education and also an Educational Specialist Degree from Troy University. She began her teaching career at Pike County High School, before returning to her hometown to work in the Thomasville City School District. She held many duties during her service as an Educator in the Thomasville City School System. She was a strong disciplinarian, who had love and compassion for the students she served.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one loving son, Chevalier Jamal Brown of Valdosta, GA and twelve grandchildren; her siblings, Debra Dixson, Janice Davis, Linda Brown; one brother, Gregory Brown, all of Thomasville, GA; half brothers, Alphonzo Dollard and Anthony Pritchett of Columbus, GA; aunt, Annie McIntyre; uncle, Elijah McIntyre both of Thomasville, GA ; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Vanessa Brown; brothers, William Brown, Michael Stringer and two grandchildren.
