With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Twila Denise Jones, who peacefully entered eternal rest on July 18, 2026.

Born on December 3, 1956, to the late Curtis Jones Sr. and Minnie Lee Jones, Twila accepted Christ at an early age and joined Willow Head Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a member of the Silas Brinson Gospel Choir.

Twila was known for her generous heart and unwavering compassion. Affectionately known as the “Neighborhood Aunt,” she never met a stranger and always made sure those around her had a meal, a place to stay, or simply someone to care. She loved serving others and found great joy in her work with The Salvation Army, where she rang the Christmas bell, helped families during the holidays, and assisted those in need.

Family meant everything to Twila. She was a beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews and was affectionately known as “Buzzered” by her great-nephews, Kristian Noah, Kolton, and Kasin—a nickname that reflected the special bond they shared.

Twila leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter, Shameka Tims; her grandchildren: Kaleb, Peyton, Alana, Jayland, KeTasia, Keterria, Jaimyla, JaKaylah, and KJ; her great-grandchildren: Gabby, Karter, Da’Nyla, Da’Kai, Jay’lani, Kay’lani, Lay’Lani, Anahlise, Azaylah, and Avaryon; her siblings: Deborah Jones-Miller (James), Geneva Thompson, Patty Jones-Walden, Brenda Everett (Bill), and Jeffery Jones (Patricia); and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie Lee Jones and Curtis Jones Sr.; her son, Keith Reddick Sr.; her grandson, Ke’Chaun Reddick; her brother, Curtis Jones Jr.; and her sister, Dorothy Cochran.

Twila’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, kindness, and service. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy will continue through the countless lives she touched and the family she loved so dearly.
