Troy Wilson

August 10, 1954 — June 25, 2021

"So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory (vanquished forever). O Death, where is thy sting? O Grave, where thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory (as conquerors) through our Lord Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 15:54-57)
Our Father God blessed Mr. Troy and Mrs. Katie Wilson of Thomasville, Georgia on August 10, 1954 with their youngest son, Troy Lorenzo Wilson, better known as "Lo." He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He often asked us if we loved him. Then he'd say, "I know you love me; but, you'd better love your Lord Jesus Christ first." He would also say, "I love my Lord."
He was always giving, humble, and loved his big brother Everett, whom we lovingly call "Sugarman." He would say, "whatever Sugarman says – that is the way it is going to be." He attended Susie H. Dunlap Elementary and graduated from Thomasville High School in 1974. He worked at Georgia Crate and Basket, enjoyed fishing, all genres of music, sweets and hanging out with Sugarman and his friends. As a young man, he took care of his younger sisters by opening-up department store accounts for them to go shopping and he was their protector. He never complained, never shouted, and took life as it came. He loved the Lord, smiled, and had a gentle and quiet spirit. He transitioned to glory to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, June 25, 2021. Troy Wilson Jr., his father; Freda E. Wilson, his sister; Little Daniel Ownes, his son and Jaylin M. Green, his grandson, preceded him in the everlasting transformation from earthbound to heaven bound. Now "Lo," has been transformed into his body that never dies – he has taken off mortality and put on immortality.
'Lo" leaves to cherish his life, which was well lived, Katie Lou Wilson, mother, Thomasville, GA; Ricky Stacey, son, Pensacola, Florida; Troyella Wilson-Miller, daughter, Tallahassee, FL; Nelda Green(Cedrick), daughter, Monticello Florida; Alexis Stacey-Williams, DeAndra Stacey, Rickey Stacey, Jr., Alicia Ace.
