Tony Devon Kelly, Sr., affectionately known to his family as "Dynamite," was born on October 3, 1961, to the late Alonzo Kelly, Sr. and Jessie Mae Robinson. He was raised by his Stepmother Alma Kelly. He graduated from Cairo High School in 1979, proudly joined the U.S. Army that same year, and never stopped marching to the beat of his own drum.
He is survived by his children: Misanya Ford (Dominic), Nyhema Ford (Ryan), Tony Kelly Jr. (Kandalyn), Pebbles Crudup (Bashier), Tai Allen, TreyKyle Kelly, Laila Kelly, and Christian Herring.
He also leaves behind his brother, Alonzo Kelly (Varonica); and dear lifelong friends, Douglas Siler, Danny Stewart, and Victor Hunter.
Tony's legacy lives on in his beloved grandchildren: Da'Yanah, Daon Jr., Tayvon, Nyla'Faith, Jeremiah, Sarya, Isayiah, Zayd, Braxton, Treasure, Myla, TreyKyle Jr., and Aniyah, Mason, Ka'leigha, and Ja'Marion
He is also remembered fondly by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many others whose lives he touched in meaningful ways.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ronnell Kelly, Bruce Kelly, Tammy Kelly and his life long friend, Terry Stuart.
His strength, courage, laughter, and love will continue to echo through his family and the many lives he impacted. Tony Devon Kelly, Sr. may have left this world, but the foundation he laid—through his hands, heart, and humor—will stand strong for generations to come.
