He graduated with a trade as an Automotive Mechanic, developing a trade that reflected his love of working with his hands and helping others. Tom accepted Christ at an early age and carried his faith with him throughout his life.
Tom married Barbara Woodruff, and to this union, one child was born. He later married Margaret Bush, and together they shared 44 years of marriage. Tom was employed by and retired from Southwestern State Hospital. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He gave himself unselfishly to his family and to those around him, always willing to lend a helping hand and offer his love and support.
Tom leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife of 44 years, Margaret Bush; daughters, Sandy (Kevin) Grant of Conyers, Georgia; Samantha Bush of Warner Robins, Georgia; Kimberly (Antonio) Myles of Conyers, Georgia; and Monica (Brandon) Jackson of Thomasville, Georgia. Tom also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, all of whom will forever cherish the memories, love, and legacy he leaves behind.
Though he is no longer with us in body, Tom’s love, faith, kindness, and devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
