On May 27, 1968, Elizabeth Smith and Robert Whitted welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world and named him Thomas Robert Whitted. From the very beginning, Thomas was deeply loved by both of his parents.

Thomas spent his toddler and childhood years in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he enjoyed making lifelong memories with his siblings and cousins. He had a passion for sports from an early age and loved playing basketball and football. His athletic ability led him to play for Poughkeepsie High School, where he proudly graduated with the Class of 1986.

In 1990, Thomas relocated to Thomasville, Georgia, where he discovered his love for the outdoors. He found great joy in nature and spent countless hours fishing, hunting, and building things with his hands. Whether he was in the woods or working on a project, Thomas was happy doing what he loved.

In 1992, Thomas met the love of his life, Patricia Sanders. Their friendship blossomed into a lifelong love, and they were married in 1994. Together, they built a beautiful life and blended their families into one loving family, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Thomas was a dedicated and hardworking employee who faithfully worked for Evoqua Water Technologies for 25 years, until his health no longer allowed him to continue. He took great pride in his work and was respected by those who knew him.

Above all else, Thomas cherished his family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, who were truly the joy of his life and held a very special place in his heart. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or making memories together, his greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those he loved.

Those Left to Cherish His Precious Memories

Thomas leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife, Patricia Whitted; his children, Thiresa (Isaiah) Newman, Aisha Porter, Albert Davis II, Maurieo Davis, Sr., Kelvin Davis, Sr., and Stephone Thomas.

He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Jalasia Weldon, Le'Aja Porter, Nevaeh Porter, Mi'esha Porter, Albert Davis III, Khrissma Samms, Jarice Samms, Lamauria Davis, Jaeel McClarin, Maurieo Davis, Jr., Chase Davis, TeQuon Franklin, Joseph Davis, Kelvin Davis, Jr., Shalya Thomas, and Skylar Thomas; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Jaleah McClarin and Laylynn Harrison.

Thomas is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Janet Melvin, Vanesa (Robert) White, Marlyn Whitted, Sabrina Harold, Antonette (James) Tate, Robert Whitted, Charles Whitted, MaShad Clark, and Kaneen Clark, all of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

He also leaves to cherish his memory his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Vena Sanders, Cynthia Harper, Alfred Hadley, Brenda Daniels, and Clifton Sanders.

He held a special place in his heart for his godson and goddaughter, Bernard Yearby, Jr. and Lakesia Bates, and his lifelong best friend, Lewis Glenn.

Thomas also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever cherish his love, kindness, and the memories they shared with him.
