Sherkeyta La’Quan Ellis

July 23, 1983 — May 4, 2020

Sherkeyta La'Quan "Keida" Ellis was born on July 23, 1983 in Thomasville,
Georgia to Theresa Moody and Larry Ellis. She passed away on this earthly
world on May 4, 2020 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was a college
student at Ultimate Medical Academy School, majoring in the field of
Medical Administrative Assistant, and would have been a graduate in
July 2020.


Sherkeyta was a beautiful, caring, and loving mother of three amazing
children whom meant the world to her. She loved her family unconditionally
and showed it all time whether it was through her smile or through her big
heart. She thrived at helping others without any hesitation or doubt, whether
it was putting herself on hold or last. Sherkeyta never experienced a dull
moment in life. She never gave up and overcame her obstacles as a cancer
survivor in 2018. She was a true soldier and fighter that fought every battle
of her life with faith, hope, courage and most of all, Love.


She leaves a legacy of love to cherish her memory, her mother, Theresa Moody;
her father, Larry Ellis; children, A'jimmyion Ellis, A'journeyi Holland,
A'jerieyah Green; sisters, Keyeria Solomon, of Thomasville, GA, LaMoiya
Ellis of Thomasville, GA; grandparents, Anna (Samuel) Maxwell of
Thomaville, GA, Mary Ellis of Snellville, GA; aunts, Dianglar (Roger)
Davis of South Carolina, Cynthia Moody of Tallahassee, FL, Beatrice (Pete)
Scott of Snellville, GA, Sherri Calloway of Thomasville, GA, Priscilla
(Joseph) Sapp of Thomasville, GA, Wanda Moody of Tallahassee, FL,
Pamela (Edward) Moody of Tallahassee, FL and Katrina Jordan of
Thomasville, GA; nieces, Jakerria Mitchell, Alanah Brengosz, A'nyla Ellis
and Xaviana McCoy, all of Thomaville, GA; nephew, Jordan Solomon of
Thomasville, GA; god-daughter, Rashiyah Kerbo and a host of family,
including aunts, uncles, cousins and sorrowing friends.


She was preceded in death by her sister, Lakeisha Bass; grandfather, Jimmy
Moody, Sr., uncles, Jimmy Moody, Jr. and George Calloway.
