Shedrick Jermaine Turner Sr. was born January 13, 1980 to Mary A. Grant and Rodney Turner in Thomasville, GA. He abruptly departed this life on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, after a tragic vehicular accident.
He lived his 45 years in Thomasville, GA. He attended Thomas County Public Schools as well as the Rescue Mission Christian School. He was employed with FPL Food, LLC for roughly three and a half years and held down the position as the lead . He became a person of influence through his good deeds and acts of kindness effectively carried out in love. He cherished and loved his family dearly. He was often on the scene for various events enjoying the blessings of his children while actively participating, encouraging and redirecting them as they continued to grow up. He was a supportive father attending award ceremonies, sporting events, even Father Daughter Dances and Donuts with Dad. There is a significant void left in the hearts of many with the passing of Shedrick Jermaine Turner Sr. One of his expressions of love was wrapping his arms around your neck to give you a big kiss on the cheek. He made sure to tell you that he loved you and more importantly he showed it on the spot. He was a strong Alpha male that was extremely protective of the ones he loved. He never forgot birthdays and would always tell you, "Happy Birthday and Plenty Mo". So, whether you knew him as "Papa Joe", "Black Jesus", "OG Shed" or just Shedrick. He enjoyed giving close family and friends nicknames that only he could call them. The one thing we know is he has touched the lives of numerous people, leaving us beautiful memories to cherish for the rest of our lives.
