Shaconda Ivey, born on January 29, 1982, to parents Debbie Ivey (Atlanta, Georgia) and Wadell Bradshaw (Thomasville, Georgia, passed away on November 20, 2025, in Snellville, Georgia, at Eastside Medical Hospital. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, leaving behind many cherished memories.
Shaconda attended Thomasville High School, graduating with the class of 2001. Her passion for life shone brightly through her love for children and her various talents. She had a gift for doing hair, cooking, and an impressive singing voice that would captivate those around her. At the age of sixteen, Shaconda became part of the Disciples of Jesus Ministry, where she nurtured her faith and connected with her community.
Shaconda is survived by her mother, Debbie Ivey, and her father, Wadell Bradshaw, as well as her stepfather, Terry Ivey. She was a proud mother to Adrian Hayes Jr., Adrianna Hayes, and Shamarion Hayes. Shaconda's love extended to her granddaughter, Zuri Grace McKinney, whom she adored.
Her brothers, Terrence Ivey and Christopher Ivey (Shenika), along with her special sisters, Telasia Byron-Fincher, Crovartous Rochelle Pourch, and Taleka Revels, will hold her memory close. She is also survived by her aunts, Mamie Young and Sylvia Joseph (Larry) from Thomasville, Georgia; great aunts Mary Peterson (Nathaniel), Pauline Davis from Atlanta, Georgia, Frankie Morrow (Richard) from Thomasville, Georgia; and great aunt, Lorena Gatlin from Miami, Florida. Her great uncle, David Jones, and uncles, Willie Bradshaw (Regina), Curtis Bradshaw (Esther), and Wayne Bradshaw, and a loving host of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.
Shaconda was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Laura B. Young and Arzennia Bradshaw; aunts, Patrica Washington and Lena Smith; and uncles, Paul Bradshaw, James Young, and Gerald Morris. Her spirit and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
