Ruby Hopkins Walker

Mrs. Ruby L. Hopkins Walker, 83 of Thomasville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Rose City Health and Rehabilitation Center in Thomasville, GA.
Mrs. Ruby was born on Monday, April 19, 1937 in Thomasville, GA. She was the daughter of the late Marcus Sadler and Loretha Washington Sadler. She was married to the late Alvin Hopkins. She later married Cleveland Walker.

She joined the church and was baptized at an early age at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church. As time passed by, she became a member of Saint James Baptist Church. She attend elementary and high school. She also took some college courses at Florida A&M University.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving daughter, Mrs. Carolyn S. Johnson (Dennis) of Montgomery, AL, and her devoted son, Mr. Timothy L. Hopkins (Charron) of Thomasville, GA. She will be sorely missed and survived by her sisters, Mrs. Carrie Sadler Abrams, Mrs. Lorene Sadler Robinson, Mrs. Evelyn Sadler White (Tyrone) and her brother, Frank Sadler (Margie) and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Ms. Jacqueline Hopkins, Mrs. Sylvia Y Hansberry, and Mrs. Patricia A. Lawson; four brothers, James Herbert, Sr., Willie B Ellis, Issac Sadler, and Joe Lewis and two sisters, Ella Mae Ellis Mickens and Annie Bell Sadler Hopkins.
