Rosetta Jackson, 94 years old, was born to the late Will and Mamie Brinson on October 8, 1929, in Thomas County, Georgia. She was a long-time faithful employee of Moore and Porter for many years. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Ira Jackson, Sr. Rosetta was a member of Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the usher ministry. She was well-known to her grandchildren as "Robutta." Rosetta passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home. She lived most of her life in the Patten, GA community. She was truly saved, water-baptized, and filled with the Holy Ghost.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Willie Mae Brinson of Thomasville, GA, and Betty Jean Jackson of Moultrie, GA; one sister, Louise Brinson of Columbia, SC; two brothers, Edder Brinson of Boston, GA, and Andrew "AJ" Brinson of Aiken, SC; nine grandchildren Scarlet Head, Frank Head, Shyletha (James) Adams; Frederick (Charlene) Brinson, Shawanna Brinson, Calvin (Trish) Brinson; Cedric (Denise) Jackson, Christopher Jackson, Katelyn (Chester) Taylor and a host of great-grands, great-great-grands and other relatives and friends.
Rosetta Jackson was preceded in death by her husband Ira Jackson, Sr.; parents Will and Mamie Brinson; three sons, Frank "Jimmy" (Ella Jean) Head, Sr., Larry (Angela) Brinson and Edward James Jackson; three sisters, Pearline Revels, Nadine Reddick, Albert Jean Peeples; six brothers, Hansell Brinson, Kelly Brinson, Peter Brinson, Lee Jr. "LJ" Brinson, Will Arthur Brinson, and Herbert Brinson.
