Robert L. Smith, Jr.

Mr. Robert L. Smith, Jr. was born on July 7, 1947 to the late
Robert L. Smith, Sr. and Mary D. Smith in Grady County.

Mr. Smith graduated high school and joined the U. S. Army,
where he served as a paratrooper and parachuting out of
Airships over the jungles of Vietnam. After being honorably
discharged, Mr. Smith pursed education at a technical school
learning the craft of upholstery. Relocating to Atlanta, GA
early in his career, he lived in the city for several years before
returning and settling home in Thomasville, GA.

He enjoyed his final years spending time with loves ones,
playing poker and chess.

Bo leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Mary D. Smith;
four sons, Xavier Keith Hansell, Sr.; Dwayne Smith, Robert
Smith, Jr. and Deandre Smith; grandchildren, Xavier Keith
Hansell, Jr., Justin Hansell, Maya Smith, Dwayne Smith, Jr.,
and Amberlia Smith, sisters, Claretha Ross (Leroy), Josephine
Moore (James), Ona B. Hunter (Joe), Daisy Ivory and Sarah
McCaskill Davis (Terry); brothers, Willard Smith (Eleanor),
Bobby Smith and Joseph Smith; a host of aunts, nephews,
nieces, and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Eula Wilson
