Priscilla Ann Jenkins

March 25, 1957 — September 25, 2025

Our dearly beloved, Ms. Priscilla (CillaAnn) Ann Jenkins, was born to this Earth on March 25, 1957, to the late Charles Smith and Doris Jenkins in Thomas County, GA. She was raised and loved also by the late Leroy Jenkins. She accepted Christ at an early age. She graduated from the class of 1976 at Central High School in Thomasville, GA.

She started her early journey in life, living in New York and Tampa, FL, caring for her family members and creating her own life in the workforce. After several years of caring for her family, Priscilla returned home to Meigs, GA, where she met the late Roscoe Thomas, Jr., and with this connection, two beautiful daughters were born. Amber and Toni Jenkins.

After creating her own family, Priscilla rekindled the Joy of caring and began a career with the Thomas County School System, where she became a paraprofessional and bus monitor. Ms. Jenkins enjoyed helping and teaching children, especially when it came to discipline and redirection. During her time with the school system, Priscilla made a very special impact on all with whom she came in contact. Being a part of the school system, she developed and maintained special connections and relationships with Ms. Mary Whitehead, Mrs. Mary Scruggs, Mrs. Jones, and many others.

After fulfilling her purpose, she retired after 26 years with the Thomas County School System. Then she later came out of retirement and began another duty of being a Greeter at Thomasville Wal-Mart, making positive encounters with her warm smile and personality. She never met a stranger. Even with her trials in her last days, her personality still remained.

She leaves to cherish her legacy and memory, two daughters: Amber Jenkins and Toni Jenkins, both of Meigs, GA; a special son, whom she called her only son, Keith McIntyre of Thomasville, GA; grandchildren, who were her three heartbeats: Brayden Carter, MiKayla Carter, and Lauren Carter, all of Meigs, GA; seven sisters; Deborah Jenkins, Sabrina Thornton, Sandra Faye Spear (William), Debora Smith, Gwendolyn Keith, Gwendolyn Owens (Ronald), and Velma Smith; four brothers: Michael Jenkins (Pamela), Bruce Jenkins, Michael Shaw (Coretta), and Royle Jenkins and a special great aunt: Margaret Lewis, of Tampa, FL. She shared love amongst a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, special friends, and family.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Anthony Jenkins and James Smith; sister, Gloria Watts; two special aunts, Rossie Brown and Hazel West; one nephew, Sheddrick Jenkins; and her sister/best friend in Christ, Mary Lee Whitehead. She was also preceded in death by a host of aunts and other family and friends.
