Phillip Pettis

Phillip Pettis was born on September 3, 1949, to Benny and Bennie Mae Pettis in Thomasville, GA.

He joined Willow Head Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. On February 13, 1971, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Carol Willis Pettis.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Carol Pettis; his children, Phyllis Pettis, Andre (Revonda) Wright, Caryn Hadley, Daryl Pettis, Tatorri Smith; brother, Marty (Robbie) Pettis of Charleston, SC; sisters-in-law, Ruby Watkins, Sarah Pettis, Annie Doris James of San Diego, CA, Marian Lyons of Valdosta, GA; brothers in laws, Tony Thompson, Hiram Hatler of Pomona, CA, Aurelius Willis of Los Angeles, CA, Emory Watkins, David King of Houston, TX; ten grandchildren, Courtney Edwards, Kierra Pettis, Dezhia Wilson, Ladarrius Stinson, Shanika Wright, Letrone Hadley, Jr., Cedric Robinson, Jr., Brandon Hollis, Daryl Pettis, Jr., Jhordyn Robinson; six great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Jayne Meeks and Juanita Thompson, brothers, Larry Pettis and Donald Pettis, and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Hollis.
