Keshawn Crumidy-Lovejoy was born January 15, 2002 at Grady General Hospital to Debra Crumidy and Kel Lovejoy. Growing up he was described as a vibrant young man with plenty of personality to capture your heart. At an early age, he accepted Christ into his life and began attending Second Presbyterian Church. Keshawn attended Thomasville City School until the 7th grade. In 2015, Keshawn moved to Homerville, GA and was apart of the Clinch County School system until he graduated in May 2020. While attending Clinch County, he begin playing basketball and football and was crowned with the nickname "CRUM".
After graduating high school, Keshawn worked for Piggly Wiggly, Broadway, and Ohio Mulch. In early 2021, he enrolled in South Georgia State College but moved to Atlanta in the fall because he set his goals on joining the Army. In January 2022, Keshawn joined the Army and completed his basic training at Fort Sill. He was later stationed in Killeen, Texas at Fort Cavazos. Fort Cavazos would soon learn the KeShawn wasn't just known as CRUM, he was also affectionately called Boogie Bear by his mom. He was deployed to Poland as a supply specialist for two and half months but was later sent back to Texas to continue to serve his country until his passing.
KeShawn was a die-hard video gamer and always enjoyed slapboxing. Keshawn had a smile that illuminated whatever room he entered, with the charisma and charm to match. His humbleness and humility always spoke volumes about who he was as a person. He touched the lives of so many people who all encountered and will greatly be missed.
Keshawn leaves to celebrate his life, his mother, Debra Crumidy (Kenneth) and father, Kel (Reba) Lovejoy; sisters, Keyanna Lashore, Kelsey Lovejoy, Brianna Crumidy, Kirstien Lovejoy, and Jamarria Dorsett-Lovejoy; brothers, Da'Terrus Adams and Calvin Lovejoy; grandmothers, Debbie Crumidy, Janice Lovejoy, and Pearlie LaShore; great grandmothers, Daisy Redding and Evelyn Bryant; aunts, Celeste Crumidy, Edna Jones, Clara Thompson, Kay Thompson, Sarah Bryant, Catherine Hagens, Ruby Barnes; uncles, Randall Sampson, Randall Lovejoy, Habakkuk Carnage, Phillip Thompson, Andrew Thompson, Johnny Thompson, Craig (Carol) Carnage, George (Beverly) Carnage and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also leaves a very close friend base who he considered family; Anthony Lashore, Shariah Smith, Mel Lovejoy, Bray Kinlaw, Denazerene Williams, and Jeremiah Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joseph Crumidy, Carl Thompson; aunt, Annie Bell Crumidy; uncle, Joseph Crumidy, Jr., Torrance Boone, and cousin Margaret Anderson.
