Pearlie Armster

March 5, 1958 — July 28, 2021

Pearlie Mae Armster, simply known as "Momma" to her children & "Pearl" or "Mae" to others was born March 5, 1958 to the late Gertrude Smith Thomas and Johnny Mitchell in Thomasville, Georgia. She resided in Thomasville until she peacefully departed Earth on July 28, 2021.
Pearl graduated from Thomasville High School Class of 1976. She worked different places throughout her years but retired from Southwestern State Hospital after over 15 years of service.
Pearl was a living and caring wife to the love of her life, Jerome Armster, Sr. The two were introduced by a mutual friend who knew they'd be the perfect matron at Varnedore. They became one on July 26, 1979 and spend the next 42 love filled years together with Jerome she was blessed with two children.

Pearl was an outstanding and devoted mother to her children son, Jerome Armster, Jr. and daughter Jocelyn Armster. One could not chosen a more caring, loving or beautiful mother than her. Though her children were her pride and joy, to her children she was God's personal handcrafted gift to them. She taught them many lessons with emphasis on love and God.
She instilled in her children to treat everyone with love and kindness just as she did and always quoted to them Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" It's with that simple scripture she'll help her children get through the heart ache of missing her.
On June 18, 2018 Pearl was given the extra title of "Grandma" by her only grandchild Nylah Armster, who was her pride and joy and extra love wrapped in one. She loved sharing photos of her precious grand baby with her friends because she was now an official member of the Grandma's club. She'd tell you the love she had for her grand baby was more than she could have ever imagine.
As a devoted daughter, sister and friend she cared deeply for her family and friends. There was nothing she wouldn't do to help anyone in need. She had a heart of pure gold and so humble.

She leaves to cherish her life a loving husband Jerome Armster, Sr., son Jerome Armster, Jr. (DeAsia), daughter Jocelyn Armster (Broderick) grand daughter Nylah Armster, four loving sisters Sara Larry (Freddie), Harriet Mitchell, Cynthia Mitchell and Tasha Mitchell all of Thomasville, Three sisters in laws Sandra Mitchell, Flossie Ward (Jerome) and Bessie Thomas, one brother in law Michael Armster, nieces Toya Jones, Tamika Duncan (Carlos), Tytanna Mitchell and Ante Asia Barber, nephews Freddie, Larry, Jr., Harry Mitchell, Jr., and Boris Mitchell, a great aunt Teresa Smith and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends Laverne Hansell, Annette Knight, Mary Dean and Phyllis Grace. She was preceded in death by mother Gertrude Thomas, father Johnny Mitchell, Brothers Henry Mitchell & Harry Mitchell and a very dear friend Emma Walden.
Pearl has now transitioned to a place of peace and relaxation with no worries or troubles. Though she may be gone physically now her love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her kind, sweet and humble soul. Please know that she wouldn't want any tears shed or sorrow felt by her loved ones, but would want all of them to know that all is well and she loves them dearly!
