Patricia Ann Lawson

Patricia Ann Lawson aka "Kee Kee" and DEWEY CITY'S #1 HAIRBRAIDER, was a fun-loving infectious energetic spirit. She was known for her beautiful smile, strong soulful pipes, life of the party spirit with her signature "kee-kee" laugh. She always had time to listen and pray with people. She would welcome you in with the warmest hugs and joking spirit to brighten the day. She was always ready and willing to engage and dote over the glory of her "daddy". Favour was truly upon her all of the days of her life until the end.

Patricia passed away on July 22, 2020 at the age of 62. She was born in Tallahassee FL, and a native of Thomasville, GA. She was born on August 12, 1957 to Ruby Lee Hopkins-Walker and the late Alvin Hopkins. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined St John Missionary Baptist of Thomasville. She graduated with the Thomasville High School Class of 1975. After marrying the late David Wimberly she relocated to Camilla, GA and worked at Wal-Mart Store#843 for 20 years. She joined St. Peter Missionary Baptist of Pelham, GA where she was a devoted member and a singing songbird for many years. She relocated to Moultrie, GA and married the late Kenneth Lawson. She later joined Mother Easter Baptist in the early 2000's where she served faithfully as a lead musician of the Christopher Roberson Gospel Choir. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children.

Patricia is survived by her sister Carolyn Johnson (Dennis), brother Timothy Hopkins (Charron), daughters Tinika Danielle Wimberly- Lamons (Rhodney) Jennifer Cherie Wimberly, sons Marcus Antonio Wimberly (Sharra) David Felton Wimberly. She was graciously known as "Nana" by her "Nana's Punkins" Jalin Myrick, JaQuan Myrick, Zoey Wimberly, and Kendall Wimberly. She will be greatly missed by a host of relatives near and far. A loving- devoted childhood friend Nancy Vickers.

She was preceded in death by sisters Sylvia Hansberry & Jacqueline Hopkins.
