Ozell Floyd Williams was born to the late Jim and Hesterine Floyd on March 24, 1949, in Tallahassee Florida. She was raised on Forshallee Plantation and confessed to Christ at an early age at Centenary AME Church.
Ozell attended Leon County School system and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967. She went on to work at Forshallee Plantation until she met the love of her life, the late great Walter G. Williams. They married in 1970, and from their 43-year union, Sandra and Christie were born, and Ozell became a mother and father figure to many others.
Ozell went on to work for Archbold Memorial Hospital for 35 years. During that time, she also worked for Jimmy Buffet, Ed Bradley, and B.B. King. She served faithfully as a missionary for over 35 years.
Ozell was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her parents; her sisters, Dosha Bentley and Alice Floyd; her brothers, James Davis, Sr and Mitchell Floyd, Sr; and brother-in-law, George Watts.
Ozell leaves behind to cherish her life: her daughters, Sandra Williams and Christie Simon (Tony); grandsons, Jake Williams and Zacharias Williams; granddaughters, Tiana Hill and Fenisha Willis; great-grandson, Caden Williams; great-granddaughters, Tailynn Hill and Legacy Williams; brothers, Roosevelt Bentley (Millie), Jim Floyd, Jr (Dessie); sisters, Pastor Jimmie Floyd Dickey (John), Rebecca Floyd, Mary Ann Floyd, and a whole slew of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
