Mother Erlean Virginia Douglas was born March 31, 1932 to the late Henry and Moriah Anderson of Moscow, TN. On Thursday, February 8, 2024, the Lord said, "Well done thy good and faithful servant" and called her home.
Mother Douglas spent a lifetime serving God. For 35+ years, she fed His people both spiritually and physically at The Rescue Mission Ministries, Inc, in Thomasville, GA and abroad. She had the first private Christian alternative school in Thomasville, GA that focused on Black children, but accepted all. Mother Douglas also fellowshipped and became members of other ministries. At Morris Cerullo World Evangelism Ministries, she was a member for 42 years and traveled the globe spreading the Gospel on nearly every continent. She was also a proud member of Greater Restoration Tabernacle Ministries in Thomasville, GA.
She leaves to cherish her memories; two daughters, Sadie Douglas (Seattle, WA), and Beverly Rice with Bennie Boggan (Tacoma, WA); one son, Willie Dearing, III with Pamela Hidler (Memphis, TN); 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; a host of loving nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces, nephews, and an innumerable amount of spiritual sons and daughters in Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, New York, Ohio and across the globe.
Mother Douglas is preceded in death by her parents and all 11 of her siblings; a daughter, Mattie B King (Chicago, IL); son, Donald E Anderson (Memphis, TN) and a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Dearing (Memphis, TN).
