Milton Lee

Milton Lee, son of the late Shelly Sr and Johnnie Mae Lee, was born February 7, 1961 in Thomasville, GA. His family moved to Cairo, GA, where he attended Cairo High School and was a star football player. After graduation, he briefly attended Kansas State University on scholarship. He later moved back to Thomasville, where he met and married Dorothy Mae Thurman. He was a brick mason by trade. Milton was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Cairo, GA.

On April 8, 2025, God called him home. He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife, Dorothy Lee of Thomasville, GA; three sons,: Paul Dunbar, Jr of Atlanta, GA, Fontabian (Sonya) Donaldson of San Antonio, TX, Kelverick (Tiffany) Greene of Cairo, GA; one daughter, Amanda (Chris) Stewart of Augusta, GA; three brothers, Shelly Jr and Danny (Nita) Lee both of Thomasville, GA and Jeffery Lee of Cairo, GA; two sisters, Christine Brown of Sylvester, GA and Carol (Otis) Byrden of Cairo, GA; four sisters-in-law, Shirley Thurman, Marcile Robinson, Stephanie Patterson and Sheila Thurman; two brothers-in-law. Anthony (Wycender) and Carl Thurman; ten grandchildren; special friends, Willie James Sanders, Henry Dunbar, all of his bricklayer buddies and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Willie James Harvey, Franklin and Jimmy Lee; one sister, Ollie Mae Matthews; one brother-in-aw; William Brown; one sister-in-law, Lillie Mae Lee; grandparents-in-laws; Elwood and Claudie Mae Graham; mother-in-law, Christine Thurman; father-in-law, Stafford Thurman Jr and two brothers-in-law, Samuel and Patrick Thurman.
