Obituary of Michael Paul Williams
The wealth of a man is not determined in gold…
It is determined by the people he touches along the way.
Michael Paul Williams, devoted son of the late Dorothy Jean Williams-Wesley and Paul Jerome Williams, made a beautiful entrance in this world on September 14, 1965 and after capturing the love of many, peacefully returned to his heavenly home on October 1, 2020. Michael walked in truth and wore the values of faith, agape love, work ethic, and devotion to family like a star-studded banner and he practiced what he preached.
Even as a young child, Michael sought after the Lord. He was baptized and confirmed in Grace Episcopal Church in West Palm Beach, Florida where he later would serve as an acolyte. Michael attended and graduated from Twin Lakes High School in West Palm Beach Florida in 1983 He later went on to earn two Bachelors of Science degrees: one in Criminal Justice; the other in Psychology. During his tenure at FAMU, Michael's magnetic personality and dedication to servitude caught the eyes of the distinguished Brothers of Phi Beta Sigma, Incorporated. Michael pledged alongside his line brothers, GOMAB, in the spring of 1985. Michael was known as "Speedy P" to his line brothers and shined as beacon of light for many to follow.
In 2000, life changed for Michael. He met the love of his life Denise. Both Michael and Denise were lovers of the Lord. They joined Roanoke Baptist Church in 2001. Michael and Denise were married on June 14, 2003 and Heaven forever smiled over them.
Michael pursued everything he did with passion, zeal, and faith. Michael and Denise moved on Titusville, Florida where Michael work at the NASA Kennedy Space Center until he retired in 2017. Motorcycling became a great getaway for Michael—the freedom, adventure, brotherhood, he loved it all! It was at this time that he joined the Redline Motorcycle Club where he served as the post of Treasurer. He performed his duties well and carried out all of his responsibilities effortlessly.
Michael and his Love Denise relocated to Thomasville, Georgia to be closer to family. Along their journey, they met Michael and Amelia Parker, who invited them to Blooming Light Missionary Baptist Church, which later became their church home. Becoming a member of the Blooming Light Missionary Baptist Church sealed his Christian faith and dedication. How humbled and honored he was to serve his God. He never lost that Jesus Joy. It remained with him wherever he went and could be seen in him by all that he met along the way. He was a servant, a humble, non-judgmental, faithful, a lover of family and friends—a GOOD MAN.
They called him Michael. They called him Speedy P'. They called him Dad. The called him Pop-Pop. They called him Pops. The called him Husband. They called him friend. He answered to them all! This time he answered God's call—"Come Home, My Son." What a good man! How he will be missed! He will forever be known as my "Gentle Giant".
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Denise, who loved him dearly; his children, Michael J. Williams, Douglas, GA, Nikia (Dennis) Daniels, West Palm Beach, FL, Michael C. Robinson, Richmond, VA, Keera Adams, Wellington, FL and Ahmad Adams, West Palm Beach, FL. How proud he was of those wonderful grandchildren—Kheleia, KyAndrie, Khaelah, Jasauni, Daniel, and Khynedi. His two sisters Tara (Larone) Thomas and Kimberli (Alan) Perry; His brother Bryan Williams; His stepfather, Mr. Eugene Wesley Jr. Special brother-in-law. Tim Gosier; special nieces and nephews: Lamar, Daren, Eric, Jessica, Alex, Reginald, Kristrina, Bailey, Bryan and Brendan, and loving dog: Sampson, and a host of loving relatives and friends.
