Melvin Thomas

In accordance with our Heavenly Father's plan on Friday, November 12, 2021, Melvin Dewain Thomas departed his fulfilled life at his residence.

Melvin Thomas was born January 16, 1971 to the late Edna Yates-Jenkins and Melvin Thomas.

He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age and joined the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and later in life joining Shiloh Baptist Church and served as a trustee. He attended and graduated from Pelham High School.

Melvin Thomas leaves to cherish his memories, a faithful and devoted wife of 30 years, Anita Marie Reese-Thomas, Pelham, Georgia; one loving and dedicated daughter, Shanneshia Reese and three precious grandchildren, Jace Reese, Jordyn Reese, and Jaxson Reese. He also leaves behind one sister, Patricia Brown; two brothers, Dan Jenkins III (Brenda) and Johnny Jenkins; two aunts, Lavonne Hampton and Dealice Yates, three sister in laws, Sherry Jackson (Walter), Barbara Wimberly, and Shaunita Banks; two brother in laws, Walter Jackson ( Sherry) and Reginald Ross ( Eddie Mae) and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
