Mary Lee Reddick Smith was born on December 20, 1944 and departed this life on February 4, 2024. She was born in Thomas County to Earnest Reddick and Doshie Lamons. She attended Magnolia School, where she graduated.
Mary's home church was First Missionary Baptist Church of Barwick, Georgia. She later moved her membership to House of Joy located in Thomasville, Georgia. Mary enjoyed watching football and doing crossword puzzles. She wore many hats in her life. Mary worked at Warner's for many years, Southern Manor furniture and Winn Dixie just to name a few. Mary's favorite interest was taking care of the sick. She was a caretaker for many special needs residents within the community.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories her son, Travis Smith (Stephanie); daughters, Sandra Griggs Smith and Lavern Smith; siblings, Charles Reddick, Kenneth Reddick, Ray (Joyce) Brown, Danny (Mayceil) Brown, William (Simone) Reddick, Benjamin Reddick, Cynthia Reddick, Linda Reddick Cassie Reddick; God brother, Willie Brown; daughter in law, Kimberly Jones Smith; aunt, Juanita Reddick Major; grandchildren, Kadeem Smith, Raheem Smith, Matthew Smith, Anthony Head, Kayla Smith, Laila Smith and Annalise Smith; three great grandchildren and a special sister/ cousin, Mamie Lamons Wolfe; father of her children, Daniel Smith (Eloise). She also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Danny Smith; her father, Ernest Reddick; mother; Doshie Lamons Reddick and brother, Micheal Reddick.
