Mary Lee Arrington was born January 26, 1939 in Thomas County, Georgia to the late Robert Eddie Jackson and Fannie Belle Washington Jackson.
She received her education at Springhill School graduated valedictorian of her class from South Coolidge School in 1955; After school she married the late Eddie Arrington. To this union, eight children were born.
She gave her life to the Lord at an early age and was a 50+ year member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a usher and senior choir. She later moved her membership to the New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Thomasville, Georgia, where she served on the motherboard, serving faithfully until her health declined.
Her Early Employment years began at Joan Art Mills, Elsie's of Boston, and later retiring from Archbold Memorial Hospital, Thomasville, GA.
On August 8, 2026, the Lord called her home. at Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie, Georgia. She leaves to cherish her fond memories, son, Eddie C. Arrington (Debra) of Boston Ga: Four daughters, Carolyn D. Virgil (Emory Sr), Jacqueline Y. Williams (Milton), Brenda G. Nixon (Carlton), Cynthia D. Arrington, all of Thomasville, one brother, Arthur James Jackson of Bloomfield, Connecticut; Grandchildren, Rodney (Shaykele), Felisha (Derrick), Natisha, Reginald, Jermaine, Lamario, Christopher (Denise), Shanise, Lativia, Emory Jr, Cedric, Elexica, great-grandchildren, Kyra, Desiree, Zsantinique (Matthew) Jahmyias, Rodney Jr, Heavenly, Roniah, Lola, Reginald Jr, Braxton, Jaxon, Kain, Kassius, Dominic, Bryson, Tyler, Derrick Jr, Sariah, Ja'Noah; great-great-great children, Zjiona, Malakai, Cree, Nayori, Matthew, and Paisley. She is also survived by a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a special family friend, Mack (Shorty Mack) Wyche.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Arrington; daughters, Delma and Velma Arrington (Twin) and Linda Gail Hambrick; her parents, Robert Eddie Jackson and Fannie Bell Washington Jackson; sisters, Charlie Mae Simmons, Annie Bell Walden, Lillie Rean Gregory, Willie Rean Jackson and Emma Pearl McCoy (George), brothers: Robert Wesley Jackson, Johnnie Lee Jackson, and George Eddie Jackson and Grandson, Milton Jr.
