Mary Frances Hayes

A Time to be Born - Mother Hayes was born in Thomasville, Georgia, to the late Katie and James Stephens. She was the youngest of five children and was preceded in death by her four sisters: Dorothy McLeod, Mildred Johnson, Louise Stephens, and Elouise Stephens. She attended Douglass Elementary and Douglas High School.  Always seeking to grow in knowledge and in her faith, she graduated from Thomas University with an Associate Degree in Medical Assistant.  In addition, Mother Hayes is a graduate of the American Baptist Theological Seminary (Extension Unit – Thomasville, Georgia).

On May 6, 1956, Mary Frances was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Oliver Hayes, Jr. To this union, four children were born, John, Janice, Olivia, and Anthony.

A Time to Die - On March 1, 2024, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia, Mother Hayes was called to eternal rest by our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.  She is at peace now, rejoicing in her heavenly home.

Hayes (Karma), Perry, GA; Sandra (Teenie) Brown Metcalf, Cherry Hill, NJ; Grandchildren:  La'Quoyia Renee' Hayes (Ralph Ross), Locust Grove, GA; Kristiana Hester, Jacksonville, FL; Roderick Kelley, Stockbridge, GA; Brieana Janay Hayes, Thomasville, GA; Jaelon Hayes, Albany, GA; Kameron Hayes and Kamden Hayes, Perry, GA; Great Grandchildren:  Kyndall Wright, Lauryn Wright, Allen Ross, Karsyn Turner, Rayven Ross; Bonus Great Grandchildren: Deziah and Jakobe Ross; Special Friends:  Samuel and Elizabeth Williams; God child:  Crescens Williams; Cousin:  Agnes Taylor, Thomasville, GA; In-laws: Johnnie Mae Carley, Beverly Williams, Eris Clark, and Annie Bell Hayes, Thomasville, GA; Joseph Thompson, Cairo, GA; Many adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends, and neighbors.
