In the early morning of September, 2024, God called his Angel home to be with him. Lula got her wings.
Lula Mae Wardlaw was born on March 4, 1936. Lula was the eldest child of six. Lula was daughter of the late Rachel Clark and Joe Brown of Thomasville, GA.
Lula accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Thomas County school system. She moved to the Florida in 1960, where she became a member of Mt. Mariah Primitive Baptist Church. She taught bible study for many years. In 2019, Lula moved back to Thomasville and found her church home at Covenant Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor Hardy Clayton. Lula truly loved the LORD.
Lula leaves behind two daughters, Nancy Battle, West Palm Beach, FL, Pearl (Zandras) Spivey, Thomasville, GA; seven grandchildren, Kenneth Clark, West Palm Beach, FL, Alfred Leaks, Felton Ivey, Travis Larry all of Thomasville, GA, Lawanda Jeanty, Winter Haven, FL, Mary Lindsey, Albany, GA, Laronia Lindsey Tallahassee, FL; two sisters, Bernice Walker, St. Petersburg, FL, Mary Harper, West Palm Beach, FL; one brother, Terry Clark of Thomasville, GA; sister in law, Cleo Branhan; Goddaughter, Martha Burkes; loving cousin, Jackie Coston St. Petersburg, FL and a host of great-grandchildren, great great - grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Wardlaw; parents, Rachel Clark, Joe Brown; daughter, Carolyn Green; son, Vincent McMiller; sister, Joann Walker; sister in law, Betsy Clark; brother, Andrew Branhan and grandson, Jackie Clark.
