Mrs. Lula Mae Rollins

Mrs. Lula Mae Rollins was born in Montgomery, Alabama on January 08, 1941, to the late Willie Pearl (Mother) and Hebert Jackson (Father). She married the late Cliffton Rollins.

Lula Mae served the mother board of New Olive Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She worked in food services at Douglas High School for many years. After retirement, she worked for Dr. T. Reynolds and Dr. R.Jackson (Beverley) as a housekeeper and caregiver for many years. Lula Mae was very nurturing, loving, caring and loved her family. She loved gardening, planting, and growing flowers, fruits, and vegetables. She was known for honoring God throughout her life and instilling the power of prayer and faith into her family and friends and will forever be missed.


Lula Mae Rollins transitioned on July 10, 2022, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA leaving to cherish her memories, three sons, Allen Tillman, Sr. (JoAnne), Virgil Tillman, and Landis Rollins, Sr. (Natasha); one daughter; Yvonne Jackson; two sisters; Willie Pearl Roan (Arthur), and Rosa Pearl Ward; two brothers; Jimmy and Johnny Jackson; twenty-one grandchildren; Allen Tillman, Jr., Jeremiah Tillman, Sharrod Brown, James Battle, Dra'kara Tillman, Virgil Koi Tillman, Aliyah Jacobs, Milan Tillman, Sharonda Tillman, Jasmine Williams, Landis Rollins, Jr., Jeffery Oats, Donta Stephens, Brandon Rollins, Kirah Rollins, Landria Rollins, Liani Rollins, Lakelyn Scott, Jaconda Morrow (Kevin), Sonya Koonce, Tonya Herring (Jermaine), Ayala Teal (Jakkia), Ronnie Wilson; twenty-six great grandchildren; Jelisa, Rashawn, Caleb, Nekejah, Primus, Kingston, Lemaya, Gehaurii, Karyson, Keidon, Kyson, Allen, Jr, Alexis, Xavion, Jakarius, Xavier, Jr., Dominic, Zamari, Zombria, Kadeem, Samuel, Aleria, Jordan, Alley, Lamarion, Exavier; special friend, Lillie Ruth (Warren) Manning and a host great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.


She was preceded in death by her two children, Shirley Ann Tillman and Preston Tillman, three brothers, Matthew Jackson, Sr, Herbert Jackson, Sr, and Glenn Jackson, and two grandchildren, Javondis Rollins, and Xavier Tillman.
