Levada Hodge {birth name} was born on February 10, 1930, to the late Henry and Daisy Hodge in Saffold, GA.
Loretta Holmes committed her life to Christ and took joy in attending church services, where she learned to assist and teach others how to turn their life around and towards Christ. Through the leadership of Apostle Isaiah and Ullainee Revills, Loretta was ordained to become a Pastor for First Havana Holiness Deliverance Church in the late 70's. Pastor Holmes was known to go into the unpopular communities as though she stood six feet tall to deliver God's word to those that would listen and those who turned a deaf ear.
After serving for over forty-six years and leading countless souls to Christ, Pastor Holmes retired from her lifelong passion of Pastor of First Havana Holiness Deliverance, yet she continued to minister to everyone she met through a word of encouragement.
Pastor Holmes biggest desire was that every member of her family knew Christ for themselves and committed to follow him. The foundation of love and gratitude will be carried forth by her family because of her unwavering love to all that knew her.
Levada later changed her name to Loretta and married Theodore Sylvester Holmes, Sr. To their union eight children were born.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Theodore Holmes, Sr.; children, Willie James Holmes, Mattie Mae Holmes Swatts, Marcella Holmes, Freddie Earl Holmes, and John Bernard Holmes.
Loretta leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, a son, Theodore (Luvern) Holmes, Jr.; daughter, Evelyn (John Author) Smith, and Bessie (Darryl) Duncan; sister, Ossie Turner; brother, Freddie Hodge; Thirty-three grandchildren, fifty-seven great-grandchildren; Spiritual children, Minister Victor and Diane Keaton, Prophet Shun Baker, Minister Sharlene Baker and FeLisa Castle. and a host of nieces and nephews.
