Lillie Ruth Walden was born on August 15, 1945 in Thomasville, GA to the late Ulysee Logan and the late Cleo Taylor Logan. To this union, four children were born. Lillie was the third child. She was called to her heavenly resting place on June 30, 2024 at Archbold Hospital.
She accepted Christ at an early age while attending Paradise Missionary Baptist Church with family. She attended A. Rev. Monroe for elementary school and from there to Morehead in Lakeland, FL. She graduated from Douglass High School in 1963.
Lillie, as she was affectionately known to her family and friends, loved to cook, go fishing, gardening, helping the community, and most of all spending time with family. She was a very caring and giving person, who's biggest joy was family.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her sons, Willie Walden (Mary) of Chesapeake, VA, Craig Walden of Thomasville, GA, Alfred Walden of Thomasville, GA, Roderick Walden of Thomasville, GA and Derek Walden of Atlanta, GA; her grandchildren, Elton (Leah), Jeremy (Jeanette), both of Chesapeake, VA, Detrice, Craig, Jr., Brittany, Damion, Vontae, Alfred, Jr., Marcus, Devontae, Ladarius, Tee, Tyneisha (Zion), Tevin, Lewis, III, Jodarion and Mason, all of Thomasville, GA; twenty-nine great grandchildren; sisters, Callie Wright and Yvonne Hadley of Thomasville, GA; her favorite cousin, Bridges Lewis of Thomasville, GA; her nieces, Vickie, Jazz, Elaine, and Sirita Murphy Dyles of Lakeland, FL, Jennifer, Shen, and Renarda of Thomasville, GA and eight nephews. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her children, Steve Walden, Ricky Walden, and Kimberly Walden; both maternal and paternal grandparents and her sisters, Hattie Logan, Betty Harris, and Joanne Brown.
