Mrs. Lillie Johnson Green was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, and friend. She entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
Mrs. Green was born to Eddie and Bessie Johnson on October 18, 1941, in Thomasville, Georgia. After graduating from Douglass High School in 1959, she was selected for the Archbold Memorial Hospital Phlebotomy Program.
Later she married Oscar Green and moved to Savannah, Georgia for a period. From their union, they had two children, Deborah and Richard.
Upon moving back to Thomasville, she began working at Archbold Memorial Hospital where she worked for over 40 years. She was
affectionately called "Ms. Lillie" by her co-workers and retired as the Phlebotomy Supervisor. She was a faithful member at Clifford Temple
Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Green loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She prepared many holiday meals that left lasting impressions on many people. She also loved spending time with the Class of 1959.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Zeke Johnson.
Mrs. Green leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Oscar Green; her children: Deborah Green of Claxton, GA and Richard (Kristie) Green of Warner Robins, GA; her grandchildren: Aaron Green of Colorado Springs, CO; Austin Green of Dallas, TX; Kaleigh Paul of Fargo, ND; and Stella Green of Warner Robins, GA; her great-grandchildren: Zaleigh and Zola Paul of Fargo, ND and Ezra Green of Colorado Springs, CO; her siblings Eddie Mae (Mark) Ford of Hinesville, GA and Rosetta J. Graham of Thomasville; her sisters-in-law, Shirley (Zeke) Johnson of Thomasville; Ella Frances (Phillip) Allen and Jerry (Kenneth) Griswold of Miami, FL. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
