At an early age, Lawarren became a devoted member of the Pentecostal Church of God, where he served faithfully under Bishop Eugene Rice. He was baptized in Jesus’ name and carried his faith throughout his life.
Lawarren was preceded in death by his father, Demetrius Stillman Brooks; and his grandparents, Doris Carter, Albert Donaldson, Eva Mae Copeland, Jackson Copeland, and Lillie Mae Minter.
Lawarren leaves loving memories with his children: Corey Carter, Aniyah Carter, Cameron Carter, Isaiah Carter, King Carter, and Princeton Thomas; and one grandson, C. J. Carter. He also leaves behind his mother, Sandra Mckenzie, his brother, Sederrick Walker, his sister, Janessa McKenzie, his stepfather, Kelcey McKenzie, and his dear friend, Randi Johnson.
He is remembered with love by his family: Elise Carter, Vanessa Carter (Walter), Elizabeth Hudson, and Gregory Carter (Stephanie Carter), along with a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives who cared deeply for him.
Lawarren will always be remembered for the love he had for his family and the impact he made on those who knew him.
