On December 21, 2023, in the early morning hours, an angel gained her wings. Kimberly Chantel Herring-Stephens entered her heavenly resting place.
Kim was the daughter of the late King Franklin James, and Ella Mae Davis. She was born on June 14, 1970.
In the short time she had on this earth, she beautifully encapsulated the life she lived. She never met a stranger, and she was a mother to many. She had a nurturing spirit, a smile that would light up a room and a laugh that you could never forget.
Kim had an incredible love for her husband, Darryl and her children. Malcolm and Daria were her trophies. She raised them with pride. Kim was extremely proud of the man and father Malcolm had become and in awe of the talent and accomplishments of Daria. She was supportive and made it her mission to make sure that her children had everything they need to excel in this life.
Kim was also a friend. There was nothing and I mean nothing she would not do to help others along the way. She demonstrated her selflessness and dedication to her close family and friends. Kim excelled at propping up her family and friends, supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives.
She loved to travel, eat at favorable restaurants and watch good movies. She and Darryl had a gift of making everyone feel like family.
Kim will be truly missed. There are no words to describe the void that she has left in each of us.
