Keith Jermaine Howlett was born on February 26,1974 in Thomasville, Georgia. He's the beloved son of Sandra Ross-Johnson and Carl Johnson, who he affectionately called "pops", of Thomasville, Georgia. His biological father is Freddie Howard. Keith accepted Christ as his personal Savior in 1992 and joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Boston, Georgia. On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, God in His infinite wisdom called our beloved Keith into His arms from labor to his eternal rest.
Keith was educated in the Thomasville City School System. He graduated with the Thomasville High School Class of 1992. During his high school years, he was a member of the Thomasville High School Bulldogs football team where he was one of the team's star players. He was also an honor roll student during his high school years.
After graduating from high school, Keith enlisted in the United States Army. During his Army career, he had the opportunity to travel the world and received extensive training in his chosen field. After serving his country in the U.S. Army, he received an honorable discharge.
After his honorable discharge from the Army, Keith began his career at Southwestern State Hospital where he worked as a unit attendant until the facility closed. He changed occupations and was employed at Flowers Bakery until his transition.
Many loved ones and friends have been impacted by Keith's unexpected departure. He was a gentle, compassionate, and funny person with a contagious smile. His departure will leave a forever void in the hearts of those who love and cherish him. Sweet memories will forever be sketched in the hearts of his beloved mother, Sandra Ross-Johnson, his pops, Carl Johnson, and father, Freddie Howard. Keith's legacy will live on forever through his children: Keewanna Howlett, LaKeyvia Howlett, Ca'Neshiaya Mickens and NaTassaja Howlett. His grandson Tyson Howlett, whom he adored, is also left to cherish his memory. He is also survived by his siblings: Christina Hardy-Baker (Travis), Keionnya Howard, Jona Owens, Janine Howard, and Tarshekee Hardy; bonus brothers, Michael Taylor and Michael Laing. Keith will be especially missed by a special great aunt, Mattie Mitchell. He will also be missed immensely by his special friend and companion Kathy Ryan. Keith was loved and cherished by his many aunts, uncles and a multitude of cousins who will forever miss his earthly presence. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kadandra Howard, maternal grandparents, Willie James Ross and Ida Mae Ross, and bonus dad, Herbert Howlett.
