Jimmy Bowdry, Sr.

Jimmy L. Bowdry, Sr. was born in Thomasville, GA to the late Johnnie L. Bowdry and the late Frank Bowdry, Sr. on May 30, 1956. He was a proud graduate of Thomasville High school in Thomasville, GA.

Jimmy married his high school sweetheart, Fannie L. Bowdry on December 21, 1974 in Thomasville, GA. He was a devoted, hard worker and was employed at Providence Plaza as a master groundskeeper for 35 years, where he recently retired.

Jimmy L. Bowdry, Sr. is survived by his devoted, beautiful wife of 47 years, Fannie L. Bowdry. Through this union, God blessed them with three loving children, Monika Bowdry, Jamekah Brooks, and Jimmy Bowdry, Jr. (Brittany), all of Thomasville, GA; Brother, Richardo Bowdry, Sr. (Lavone) of Thomasville, GA; sisters, Deborah Reed, (Will) and Sharon Vickers (Jimmie) both of Tallahassee, Fl. Sister-in-laws, Susie Andrews and Rose Andrews both of Dallas, Texas and Lillian Andrews of Thomasville, GA. Grandchildren, Ja'Quise Bowdry, Jimmy Bowdry III, Jimina Bowdry, Jayceon Bowdry, Drayden Williams, Demetrius Brooks, Jr., Demetria Brooks, and Demetrie Brooks and one Great-Granddaughter, Brooklyn S. Brooks all of Thomasville, GA; Special family friends, Lonnie Smith and Sandra Stafford and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jimmy L. Bowdry, Sr. is preceded in death by Johnnie L. Bowdry (mother), Frank Bowdry, Sr. (father), Betty Bowdry (stepmother), Frank Bowdry, Jr. (brother), Betty Andrews (sister-in-law), Henry and Sallie Andrews (in-laws) and Nelson Andrews, Sr. (brother-in-law).
