Jesse James Henderson

Jesse James Henderson departed this earth on May 26, 2025, at his Thomasville home.

Jesse, known to family and friends as Jack, was born on January 19, 1954, to the late David and Lillie Mae Henderson. In 1972, Jesse graduated from Thomas County Central High School, where he began his career as a roofer. Jesse spent his time being a devoted husband and father. Jesse loved grilling for his family, fishing, and being the life of the party.

Jesse is survived by his two children, Jesse James Henderson, Jr., and Shaikil West; grandchildren, Kaylandraya Jackson, Ju'brya West, Ja'lyn West, and Cynthi'Nique West; siblings, Daisy Samuel (Kenneth), Gail Brinson (Charlie), Lizzie Richardson (James), Lillie Henderson, and Aaron Henderson (Faye); nieces, Michelle Curry, Joyce Henderson, Janice Richardson (Sherman), Sherry Johnson (Melvin), Alisha Samuel, Kadeshia Samuel; nephews, Quinton Sharp, John Sharp, Thomas Henderson, Joseph Jackson, Avery Henderson and a host of great nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends..

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Henderson; sister, Carol Henderson; brother, Willie Henderson; and niece, Deborah Thigpen.
