Jeremiah Gee, Jr., 81, of Quincy, Florida, passed away on March 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Jeremiah was born on September 16, 1944, in Quincy, Florida, to Mother Celia Jackson Gee and Reverend Jeremiah Gee, Sr. He was educated in the Gadsden County public school system and graduated from Old Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida, in 1962.

In 1967, Jeremiah enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served honorably until his discharge in 1980. Following his military service, he began a long and dedicated career with the State of Florida, where he worked until his retirement.

On November 16, 1980, Jeremiah married Peggy Washington, who preceded him in death in 2012. He was a devoted Deacon at St. James Church, where he spent much of his life faithfully serving God and his community.

Jeremiah leaves to cherish his memory his children: Jerome Gee of Tallahassee, Florida; Ronda Holmes of Tallahassee, Florida; Daniel Gee of Thomasville, Georgia; and Samika Gee of Thomasville, Georgia. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Jaylin Gee, Ashley Douglas, Jordan Holmes, and Davion Holmes, all of Tallahassee, Florida; and his great-grandchildren: Leh’jen Holmes and Rylan Holmes, also of Tallahassee, Florida and Alicia Holmes of Bainbridge, Georgia; along with a host of loving friends.
