Jaushuah Adavel Laing

August 31, 2009 — January 31, 2023

Jaushuah Adavel Laing was born in Thomasville, GA on August 31, 2009 to Avon Laing Sr. and Levada Laing. Jaushuah was an easy-going baby and could always be seen smiling and giggling with joy and laughter. He was extremely creative and as he continued to grow, it was evident that Jaushuah was born to be on stage. He was proud to be a Bulldog in the Thomasville City School System. Starting in kindergarten, Jaushuah could be seen performing in Scott Elementary's Black History and End of the Year Programs. He joined One Act in seventh grade and lit up the stage with his performance in the Scholar Academy's rendition of the musical "Once Upon a Mattress". He was a faithful member of Grace Point Community Church and enjoyed singing on the praise and worship team. He also participated in the Guide Right Kappa Leadership Development League. Jaushuah never met a stranger and touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with by his infectious smile, sense of humor, calm demeanor, and debonaire charm.

Jaushuah leaves to cherish memories: three siblings, Avon "AJ" Laing Jr., Tylin Laing, and August Laing; Grandparents, John and Evelyn Smith Sr. and Jacquline Williams; Aunts, Felicia (Ben) Morris, and Adriell (Decory) Glenn; Uncles, John Smith Jr., Mark Smith, Trevon Sanders, Antonio Sanders, andBrandon Laing. Jaushuah will be missed by a host of other family and friends near and far.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Avon Laing, aunt Beverly Smith, and uncle, Joshua Laing.
