He lived in Thomasville, GA, where he attendedThomasville High School and was a part of class of 1995.During his young adult years, he was a diligent worker forShoney's Restaurant and later went on to work for SniderTire. Before his passing, he had also become a member atLiving Word Tabernacle of Praise in Tallahassee FL underthe leadership of Prophetess Earnestine Johnson.

James had the personality and natural charisma tomake friends no matter the situation, and his laugh wasinfectious to everyone around him. James, a great manwhose impact will be forever felt by his family, who loves himdearly. He was a selfless man whose passing left anunfillable gap in the hearts of his loved ones. His ability tosacrifice, provide, support, forgive, and love will never beforgotten.

Kathy McGriff (Frank) , and Cynthia Blum all of Adel, GA,and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and friends.

James is preceded in death by his mother, EvangelistMarjorie Newsome Love,his father, James Smith, Sr,, hissister, Donita Newsome, and brother James Smith, Jr.
