James Anthony Richardson, known as Cat to the family and friends, departed this earth on May 13th at his home.
James was born in Boston, Georgia, where he was raised by his father, John Russell Richardson, and his mother, Mary Dunbar Richardson. James attended Thomas County Central High School and was a jack of all trades. He loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing, talking, and listening to music. In 2002, he met his loving wife, Lizzie Richardson. They spent their time mostly fishing and telling stories of the fish they caught.
He leaves behind his wife, Lizzie Richardson; his mother, Mary Dunbar Richardson; sisters, Edna Anderson (Darrell), Ruby Bumpass (Keith) of Texas; aunts, Bertha Jones, Rosie Henry; grandmother, Bessie Richardson; children, Joseph Jackson (Kiara), Sherry Johnson (Melvin) Janice Richardson (Sherman); grandchildren, Maleak, Kayla, Joseph, Jr., Joseph 3rd, Neriah, Jlovely, Tiquiasia, Theo, Dallasia, Janilya, Unique, Wil’quesha and a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, John Russell Richardson, grandmother, Daisy E. Dunbar, grandfather, Jimmy Dunbar, Sr., brother, Russell Richardson, Jr.; and his grandson, Cambridge.
