Jackie Nixon

Jackie L. Nixon was born December 22, 1950, to the late Josephine Kimmons Nixon and Sammy Lee Nixon Sr. He grew up in Ochlocknee GA and attended school in the Thomas County School System.

Throughout his life, Jackie worked as a General Laborer and worked for several companies before retiring from Waverly Minerals. He attended Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Ochlocknee, Georgia. Jackie was a gentle giant who loved his family.

Jackie leaves to cherish his loving memory, his two daughters, Marietta Hines (Willie), Canton, GA and Trena Huff (Rickey), Augusta, GA; six grandchildren; Dontavious Sanders of Camilla, GA, Latoya Brown (Charlie) of Hinesville, GA, Nastasen Nance, Xander Huff, Alex Huff and Cayden Huff all of Augusta, GA; two great-grandchildren; O'niz'hia Sanders and Cameron Brown; four brothers; Roddy Nixon, Sr. (Lorene) of Ochlocknee, GA, Donny Nixon, Sr. of Lockport, NY, Wade Nixon, Sr. (Evelyn) of Ochlocknee, GA, and Curtis Nixon, Sr. (Lisa) of Ochlocknee, GA; two sisters; Patricia Nixon of Ochlocknee GA, Jessie Coleman (Larry); sister in law, Geraldine of Lockport, New York; one aunt, Annie Porter of Lockport, New York, ex-wife, Shirley Nixon of Camilla, GA; special friend; Sarah McDuffie of Thomasville, GA; best friend, Terry Bostick of Ochlocknee, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brother, Samuel Lee Nixon, Jr. and Wayne Nixon, Sr.
