Isabelle Brown

Mrs. Isabelle Brown was born on May 17, 1939, to the late Willie and Lucille Franklin in Thomasville, Georgia. She was the granddaughter of the late Matt and Annie Turner.

At an early age, Isabelle joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church. She attended Douglas High School. Later she relocated to Flushing, Long Island, New York for over 30 years, then later moved back to her hometown Thomasville, Georgia. Later she relocated to Lakeland, Florida where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She retired from Lakeland Regional Hospital.

Isabelle always enjoyed decorating her yard, and watching old movies and western shows. Also, she enjoyed shopping, looking around at various
thrift stores and she would say "I just love shopping around."

She leaves a Legacy of Love to her daughters, Gwendolyn Franklin, Lucy Cook, Marilyn Cook, Natalie Cook; one loving son; Anthony Cook (Gwendolyn); sisters, Lucille Hall, Andrewetta (Ann) Gaffney; brothers, Deacon Joe Franklin (Mary); grandchildren, Charles Poole, Ashayah Johnson, Miesha Bellamy, Syncere Burnett, Kiemay Fields, Nicole Clark, Shay Cook, Maria Hunter, Ericka Austin, Felecia Franklin, Ericka Stacey (Derett), Carl Franklin, Archie Brian Cone and Alaysia Cook; A grandson, whom she raised, Lamonte Cook; nineteen great grandchildren; nephews, Ronald Presha Sr. (Essie), Donnie Presha, Joe Franklin Jr., (Selena), Kelly D. Burke III, Stanley Clark, Terry Franklin, Ronald Presha Jr., Purvis Presha, and Nathaniel Presha Jr.; nieces,  Diane Burnett, Anna Presha, Andrewetta McNeil, Monica Austin, Zaronica Clark (Tyler), Kathy Franklin, Sonja Wright Smith (Donnie), Cheryl Presha, and Krishana Presha; and a host of great nieces, great nephew's cousins and friends.

Isabelle is preceded in death by her brothers, Tommy Franklin, Roosevelt Franklin, and Jack Franklin; sisters, Annie Bell Presha,  Leola Clark, and Lena Mae Navarro; nephews, Nathaniel Presha, Harold Presha, and Rosevelt "Von" Franklin, Jr.; grandchildren, Darnell Cook, Alecia Franklin, and Bria LaFaye Harris; brother-in-law Cornelius Gaffney and special cousin, William (Bill) Turner.
